Default Can Golem Master complete with Beast Master?

so, the old type of MM we know and love is pretty much finished now. my first thought was that this might be replaceable by a necro who focuses on just his Golem, since having 3 or less minions gets you around that new awful VS recharge.

but considering it further, the lack of buffs that you can apply to a flesh golem seems to make this little more than a toned down Beast Master. Dont forget, while the pet may be lower level, there are ALOT of spells designed to boost its damage output, protect it, and do other fun things like cripple and interupt.

the only conclusion I can come to is that you wont see any more minion masters, just folks who might use a few minion related spells to boost whatever else they're set up to do.

Default GW vs D2 Golem

Just a question. I don't know anything about the GW golem, does it get summoned out of thin air like Diablo 2? Or do you need a corpse? If you don't need a corpse, can we all say DEATH NOVA??!!!. Summon, cast DN, resummon and poof, instant poison & damage.

Plus since its a death, regain energy via soul reaping.

If someone builds around a golem, then there maybe skills for the golem or it becomes a meat shield that can squish a pet to death. Pets seem to act on their own for a bit, before obeying their master. Undead don't seem to have that problem. Same token, does the Golem die if the caster dies? Or does it become a masterless monster that will attack those in its way?

Time will tell.

Hmm?
How about one level 26 Golem (or 27 if you boosted) or level 18 (19...) fiends.
And it's not like you couldn't have 9 fiends along with the Flesh Golem

If you want to leverage verata sac tho yeah one 26golem and 2 lvl18 (19...) fiends. But I guess I'd look to other skills/ideas at that point... well of blood might mix well here for starters. I dont get destroying Veratas Sac but there are some other avenues.

Like any other summon, you need a corpse. (and btw if you summon a 2nd golem while the first is alive, the first's corpse is not usable.)

veratas sacrifice is still usable, the recharge is a non issue if you use it with glyph of renewal as i always did, it will be up most of the time

Incorrect. The recharge + casting time for renewal is 16 sec. VS will be up for max 10 sec. This gives you about the same % of uptime for VS as running prenerfed VS without renewal, but now also without the addition of Mo or R MM skills.

When a Flesh Golem dies, he leaves a fresh corpse, which means you can summon another Minion or Golem out of it.

If you mix it with Bone Minions you can have 1 Flesh Golem tank, 2 minion bombs, and an instantly recharged VS always to keep the big guy up. And you still have some space to do something else with the build like adding some of the new direct damage spells, etc.

The whole point of this nerf is to get people into using more varied builds insted of just thinking about how many minions you can pump out. While I miss my 30+ minions a lot, it'll do no good and get you nowhere if you just keep trying to get old builds to work.

In a way, the golem works well with minon bombing since Death Nova dont affect allies minons anymore. I see the MM nerf as a marketing trick to push MM lovers to buy Factions to use the Elite or maybe its just me and i need more sleep :X

Yay... because that makes screwing up the entire MM line ok. We get a corpse back when our shitty elite slot dies. Personally i thought the Flesh Golem elite was a complete waste of space anyway, now they managed to siphon everything that was fun out of this build i can honestly say i will never use Flesh Golems over Renewal, 9 seconds of downtime i could possibly handle using BotM, 50seconds? Not quite.

Has anyone have any info on which Boss has the Flesh Golem elite and his location and from which city to get there? I have seen some info on this, but it was lacking in detail.
